Most of this portrait photograph is sky. Layers of blue and violet cloud fill the top half, broken into soft patches and long diagonal streaks that slide towards the right edge. Thin, pale wisps of cloud sit lower down, catching a faint pink and peach glow from the setting sun.
Along the horizon a band of orange and apricot light sits beneath a few dark, ragged clouds. Hazy blue mountains rise behind a low, dark shoreline. The water below is flat and lilac-grey, with faint wake lines and one tiny sailboat at the lower left. The mood is quiet and calm.
