About Fiesta
A wide band of short vertical brushstrokes runs across the middle of a white canvas, leaving clean unpainted margins at the top, bottom and corners. The strokes are loaded and dragged, so each one shows ridges and skips where the paint ran thin. Neon pink and magenta dominate, pushed against lime and mint green, turquoise, cobalt blue, tangerine orange, pale lemon and small bruise-dark patches of navy and violet that give the band its depth. A broad orange and yellow sweep curves in from the top right corner.
The character is light, fast and cheerful, closer to confetti than to landscape. Nothing is blended, so the colours stay clean and separate and the white ground keeps the whole thing feeling airy rather than crowded.
Works in a white or pale grey living room, a hallway that needs colour, a child's room or a creative workspace. The unpainted white ground keeps it from overwhelming small rooms.
