About Fine Dining
A wide terracotta-orange bowl tilts across the lower half of the canvas, filled with deep red sauce and loops of pale pink spaghetti drawn as long curling ribbons. A wooden spoon dips in from the upper right, its rounded bowl resting on the pasta. To the left, a second spoon with a red bowl floats against the background, a thin cream noodle trailing from it. Two dark wine glasses stand behind, their stems slim and pale. The word Cucina runs across the top in looping gold script.
The background is a mottled wash of plum, violet and brown, stippled with fine dots so the flat shapes sit against a soft, grainy field. Everything is simplified into curves and outlines rather than realistic detail, and the artist's signature sits in the lower right corner. The mood is warm and playful, a kitchen scene reduced to colour, line and appetite.
Made for kitchens, dining rooms, breakfast nooks and small Italian eateries or cafes. The orange and plum sit well with timber cabinetry, brick, or painted walls in cream, charcoal or olive. Hang it above a sideboard, near a pasta bench, or as a single square above a two-seater dining table. Browse more all hand-painted oil paintings, square paintings.
