Five feathers stand upright in a row across a solid black background, each one a different shape. The first is broad and ragged at the base, the second is narrow with a long bare quill, and the third is wide and rounded with a soft, mottled surface. Each feather is evenly spaced, with clear black gaps between them.
The feathers are rendered in a muted gold and tan that looks like metallic leaf, with flecks and scratchy streaks of lighter tone across the vanes. The fourth feather carries bold banded patches of cream and brown, while the others are more uniformly speckled. Frayed edges and split barbs are visible on every feather. The look is a flat, textured illustration with no background detail.
