A single fern plant is drawn in the centre of a portrait page. Two curved fronds rise on either side, each made of narrow, pointed leaflets in olive and sage green with soft brown shading along the edges. A thin central stem climbs between them and carries the plant's focus upward.
At the top of the stem sits a tall spike of small flower clusters in mustard yellow and burnt orange. The background is a mottled pale grey, like aged paper, with worn edges. Faint cursive handwriting appears in the top left and bottom right corners, in the style of a specimen note. The look is a muted botanical illustration.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
Great painting. Brightens up my living room.
