In the foreground two women and a man share a picnic on a white rug. One woman in a grey jacket and yellow scarf holds a plate and opens a yellow case. The other, in a yellow top, smiles and reaches out. A flask, cups and a bowl of bread sit between them, and a wind-up gramophone is at lower left. Rust spots and worn edges give it the look of an old tin sign.
