A single slice of layered cake sits in the centre of a cream, mottled background. It has two pink sponge layers separated by dark chocolate filling, with glossy chocolate icing across the top and down the side. A soft shadow beneath makes the slice look lifted off the page.
Lettering frames the cake: "Gâteau au" in brown script at the top, "CHOCOLAT" in tall red stencil-style capitals, and "Paris 1892" in script below. A scalloped red edge runs down the left, and a dark brown band with cream dots and filigree scrollwork fills the right. The surface looks worn and aged, in a digital illustration style.
