Loose watercolour leaves and stems drift across a white ground in olive green, sage, slate blue-grey and soft mauve. The washes are translucent, with pooled edges and blooms where the pigment has settled, so each shape reads as a soft stain rather than a sharp outline.
Fine gold linework traces open leaf shapes and a branching stem in the lower right, crossing the washes without filling them. Near the bottom, a few dark charcoal leaves on a thin stem anchor the layout, while quick grey brush strokes streak the left edge. Ochre and cream patches warm the upper right.
