A large ornate clock fills the centre of the frame, its face set in a round gilded surround with raised scrollwork. The cream dial carries black Roman numerals on small white discs, and two black hands sit close to ten past ten. A small crown-like ornament rests at the very top of the arch.
Behind the clock is a wall of tall glass panes divided by dark iron mullions, glowing a pale, hazy white. Below, a carved bracket and heavy scroll mouldings hang from the clock, and a dark arched beam crosses the bottom. This is a warm, sharply detailed photograph in gold, bronze and cream tones.
