Two fishing boats sit side by side at the left of the scene, one with a rust-orange hull and looped tyre fenders, the other with a bright blue hull behind it. Their tall masts carry red pennants and a web of rigging lines. Thick, textured strokes build the hulls and give the picture a heavy, impasto look.
A yellow sun glows through a sky streaked with lilac and grey cloud, and its colour spills down into the still water as orange and gold reflections beneath the boats. A flock of white gulls scatters across the sky. At the lower right, tangled wooden posts and a mound of orange and red rubble form the foreground, while two small white sails sit on the pale horizon.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
