A wooden fishing boat sits tied up at a quay, its bow pointing right and its hull a creamy white with a green stripe along the side. Pale sailcloth is draped over the deck and the boom, folding into soft yellow and peach shapes. A tall mast runs up the left side, and lettering is visible on the bow.
Low sun floods the scene from behind the boat, bleaching the upper left into a warm haze of gold and cream. The water on the right glints in short strokes of olive, teal and silver, while the foreground shadow under the hull falls dark green and brown. Stacked crates crowd the lower left, and distant buildings sit soft along the far shore. The brushwork is loose and textured, in the manner of an impressionist painting.
