A single lily is shown as a flat, pale yellow silhouette against a solid black ground. The bloom opens from the left, with long petals sweeping back and one curved petal arching up to the top right. A small bud sits above the centre, and a thin stem drops to the bottom edge.
The yellow is soft and buttery, with faint cracked, paper-like texture and fine reddish veining across the petals. Dark negative space surrounds the flower, so its edges look sharp and glowing. A second leaf or stem curls in from the lower right corner. The look is a layered, cut-paper illustration in a square format.
