A large poppy-like bloom fills the upper left in layered sepia and caramel petals, with a golden-yellow centre ringed by dark stamens dotted in pale blue. Its stem runs down the left side. The petals have a dry, scraped texture, with fine vertical streaks showing through like a woven surface.
Paler cream and white flowers sit lower and to the right, including a wide open bloom with a yellow centre and a tulip-like bud with a small gold heart. Behind them, a faint scrolled damask pattern in beige and cream covers the background. A daisy shape fades in at the lower left. The palette is warm and tonal, in browns, creams and a little gold.
