A low tide sunset photograph taken across wide mudflats. Layers of dark cloud stretch across the sky, edged with bright gold where the sun breaks through, and faint rays fan down toward a hazy ridge of distant hills. The sky takes up the top half of the frame.
In the foreground a curving tidal channel carries the sunset colour as a bright ribbon of gold, running from the lower right toward the middle distance. The mud on the left stays dark and blue-grey, with small clumps of grass and wet ripples catching glints of light. Two small dark shapes sit near the far bank.
