Two stylised profiles dominate the centre: a man in a tall grey top hat with a reddish-brown face in sharp angular lines, and beside him a woman in a dark maroon hat with black wavy hair, a pale face, pink cheek and a single red lip. Soft airbrushed washes of purple, green and yellow fill the background.
Across the top, bold black capitals read "GRANDES FÊTES". Below, a small "DE" leads into a large condensed serif "PARIS", followed by "DU 17 JUIN AU 8 JUILLET 1934". Thin line sketches fill the edges: a jockey in a yellow jacket on a brown horse at upper right, and a crowd of onlookers at lower left. Small print at the foot reads "Ministère de Commerce et de l'Industrie".
