A tabby cat looks straight out at the viewer in a tight, front-on portrait. Its face fills most of the frame, with both ears upright and tipped in pink. The eyes are the focal point, a bright yellow-green with narrow black pupils, set against dark stripes of grey and brown fur.
The fur is built up in fine, layered strokes that look like coloured pencil on lightly textured paper. Warm orange and rust tones sit around the pink nose, while the chin and muzzle fade to white. Long pale whiskers sweep across the dark right side. The background is a soft wash of cream, yellow and sage green, and a small signature sits at the lower right.
