A broad valley opens beneath a range of soft teal mountains, their ridges built from flat, overlapping planes of blue and green. Above them, pale cream cloud sits low against a sky of streaky aqua brushwork. The scene is in portrait format, so the eye travels from sky to hills to the fields in front.
The middle ground is a sweep of light green paddocks crossed by thin diagonal lines, with dark olive tree clumps along the right edge. In the foreground, strokes of brown, rust and pale blue suggest wet ground, water and a small pale building on the left. The texture is thick and scraped, like a loosely handled painting in a semi-abstract style.
