The joke is in the scene: a draught horse with feathered white hooves sits up in a green cart, eyes closed, while a smiling carter in a brown hat, black waistcoat and blue neckerchief walks ahead pulling the shafts. A small blue bird flies at right. Flat shapes in tan, brown and green sit on a pale sand ground, and a small credit line runs at the bottom left.
