A long-eared hare stretches across the whole square in mid-leap, front legs reaching forward on the left and hind legs kicked out behind on the right. Its fur is rendered in warm orange-tan with darker brown shading along the back, and a single dark eye looks ahead. Behind it, dry grass blades fan out like rays.
The image sits on vertical timber planks with cracked, scuffed surfaces and dark seams between boards. Along the bottom, chalky off-white capital letters read "ON THE RUN", worn and distressed, with the final letters cropped at the right edge. Dark green pines rise behind the hare, and the palette of rust, olive, ochre and cream gives a rustic lodge-sign feel.
