A single hibiscus flower is shown from the front against a plain white background, rendered like an X-ray in black, grey and white. Five broad petals spread out in a loose star, each one almost see-through, with fine dark veins running from the centre to the ragged outer edges.
The centre is the darkest part of the image. A tight cluster of stamens sits at the top of a dense black core, and a thin straight stem drops down to the bottom edge. The soft grey petal tones fade to white at the tips, giving the flower a delicate, glassy quality. The composition is square and the bloom sits centred with generous white space around it.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
Great painting. Brightens up my living room.
