About In the Mist
A single white horse fills the centre of this square artwork, walking forward and slightly to the left with its head turned towards the viewer. The mane falls in long pale strands over the neck and shoulder, and the muzzle is shaded a soft warm grey. Behind the horse, vertical streaks of pale aqua, silver-grey and off-white run from top to bottom like a curtain of mist. The lower legs and tail dissolve into that haze rather than ending in firm outlines.
The finish is soft throughout, with dry, streaky texture in the background and smooth gradients across the horse's body, so the animal seems to be forming out of the fog. The character is quiet and still, closer to a memory of a horse than a portrait of one.
Suits bedrooms, living rooms and a home office wall that needs calm rather than colour. It works with white, dove grey or pale sage walls, oak or ash furniture, linen bedding and woven rugs. Pair it with silver or natural timber frames, and keep nearby decor plain so the misty background stays the quiet part of the room.
