About Inner Glow II
A square abstract built from transparent washes. Down the left side, layered shapes in apricot, coral and deep red stack upward like weathered rock or petals, their edges left hard where one wash has dried over another. To the right, the upper third stays bare white, then breaks into flat horizontal bands of raspberry, crimson and tan that read as a horizon line. Below them the surface softens into pale peach and sand, with a thin red streak running out toward the right edge.
The colour sits in flat, watery layers rather than blended gradients, so you can see where each wash stopped and pooled. A small artist's mark sits in the lower right corner. The character is quiet and warm: part landscape, part pure colour study, with plenty of empty white space holding the intensity of the reds in check.
Warm coral and orange read well against white, off-white and pale grey walls, and suit a living room above a low sideboard, a bedroom over the bedhead, or a home office. It pairs with rattan, light oak, linen in cream or sand, and brass accents, and works as one half of a matched square pair.
