A single white flower head fills most of the landscape frame, seen side-on with its ruffled petals layered and overlapping. The petals are built from thick, visible brush strokes in white, with soft streaks of pale butter yellow and warm grey tracing their curved edges and folds.
At the centre sits a small cluster of ochre-yellow buds ringed by dark chocolate brown. A slim, dark olive stem runs down from the bloom to the bottom edge. The background is a flat, slightly mottled mustard ochre, which makes the white petals stand out sharply. The look is bold, loose and expressive rather than botanical in detail.
