About Spectrum Crossing
A landscape-format abstract built entirely with palette knife strokes. On the left, scarlet and orange slabs climb the canvas, crossed by a broad band of white and pale yellow that forms a rough cross shape near the centre-left edge. Moving right, the heat cools into turquoise and mint scrapes, then into thick cobalt and near-black blue along the right-hand side. Magenta and violet pool along the lower right, with flecks of red pushing through.
The paint sits in flat, dragged layers, so the knife edges leave hard ridges, scraped gaps and patches where the under-colour shows. Its character is heat meeting cold: a bright, high-contrast piece that reads as pure colour and texture rather than any recognisable form.
Works as a single focal point above a low sideboard, a sofa in grey or charcoal, or at the end of a hallway. The red and cobalt suit white or pale timber walls, black metal furniture and concrete floors. Pair with plain cushions in one of the picked-out colours rather than competing patterns.
