About Wildflower Drift
A wide panoramic canvas reads as a band of wildflowers moving left to right through four colour zones. At the left, blue sky-toned ground carries slim vertical stems flecked with cobalt and small white buds. The centre fills with round white blossoms, each one a single knife stroke with a dark navy dot at its heart. Yellow and gold flowers crowd the middle right over patches of olive green, and the far right is packed with deep crimson and burgundy blooms, layered thickly so the paint stands proud of the surface.
Every petal is laid with a palette knife rather than a brush, leaving flat-topped ridges and small peaks that catch the light. The character is bright and cheerful, with the colour running like a spectrum across the length of the canvas.
Suits a long wall above a sofa, sideboard or bedhead, and works well in a hallway or dining room where the panoramic shape has room to breathe.
