About White Blossom Tree
A single slim tree leans from the lower right corner, its dark trunk curving up and splitting into fine black branches that arch left and right across the top half of the canvas. Every branch carries dense clusters of thick white blossoms, each petal laid on with a palette knife and dotted with a small orange centre. Loose petals fall in scattered lines down both sides. The background is built from square and rectangular strokes of burnt orange, rust and grey-green, laid flat like tiles behind the tree.
The raised white paint sits well above the flat background blocks, so the blossoms catch side light and cast small shadows. It reads as warm and decorative rather than botanical.
Suits a living room with warm timber floors, a terracotta or cream lounge, or a hallway that needs a lift of colour. The orange background pairs with rattan, leather and brass, while the white blossoms keep it light against off-white or soft grey walls. Works well above a sideboard or bedhead.
