About Orange Bloom Bouquet
A dome of orange and red flowers fills the upper half of the canvas, each bloom laid down as a separate slab of paint with a palette knife so the petals sit proud of the surface and catch the light. Small dabs of yellow mark the flower centres. Below, a rounded vase is built from glossy blue-black and violet strokes, with green leaves cutting across its shoulder and thin drips of yellow running down the body.
The background moves from pale lemon yellow on the left through warm ochre at the base to patches of sky blue, cobalt and emerald green on the right, all applied in short flat blocks. Loose orange and yellow marks at lower left suggest a second sprig of flowers or a reflection on the table. It is a bold, high-contrast bouquet that reads as texture and colour first, detail second.
Works above a sideboard in a dining room, on a kitchen feature wall, or in a hallway that needs warmth. The orange and blue pairing suits white or pale grey walls, timber furniture and terracotta or navy cushions. Side lighting will pick up the raised petals and knife ridges.
