About Koh Lanta Island Thailand
A wide sunset photograph taken from a low sandy shoreline. The sky fills roughly three quarters of the frame, with a band of molten gold and orange sitting on the horizon and radiating upward into pink, violet and deep blue. Torn clouds drift diagonally from the upper left, their undersides lit magenta and plum while their tops stay shadowed. Below, a shallow tidal flat mirrors the same gold and copper light, broken by a curving spit of damp sand that sweeps in from the lower left corner.
The character here is calm and expansive rather than dramatic: the colour does the work, moving from hot gold at the waterline to cool blue overhead. Footprint marks and ripples in the sand give the foreground texture and pull the eye toward the light.
Suits beach houses, coastal bedrooms and living rooms with white or pale grey walls, and works over a bed head or a low sideboard. The gold and violet sit well with timber furniture, rattan, linen in oatmeal or navy, and brass lamps. Large sizes carry a long lounge wall or a wide hallway.
