Below the figure the lettering reads "Le rouge baiser" in heavy black serif type, with "permet le baiser" in a slanted script underneath. A small line of capitals states "LE ROUGE UNIQUE PAR SA QUALITÉ DE CLASSE MONDIALE", followed by a note about Paris and 1927 and an address on Faubourg-Saint-Honoré. The ground is warm cream with a slightly aged tone, and a small star mark sits at left.
