A single lily is shown side-on in an x-ray style, its petals rendered as see-through layers in pale grey-green and white. The stem rises from the lower left and curves up into the open bloom, where overlapping petals show through one another so you can read the structure inside the flower.
Thin stamens with small tips reach up from the centre of the throat. Two long petals sweep upward and back on the left, while others curl down and out on the right. The background is solid black, so the glowing edges and soft grey shading carry the whole image. This is a digital, photograph-like render rather than a painting.
