About Los Angeles Palms at Dusk
A cluster of very tall, slender palm trees stands in dark silhouette across the foreground, their fronds spreading like fans against the sky. Behind them the downtown Los Angeles skyline glows, with office towers stacked in bands of white, gold and cool blue window lights. The sky carries long horizontal streaks of magenta and hot pink cloud over layers of violet and deep navy blue. Lower down, freeway and street lighting scatters warm points across dark ridgelines and rooftops.
The image reads as a clean, high-contrast dusk photograph: hard black silhouettes in front, saturated colour behind, and fine detail in the lit windows. Its character is calm but electric, the quiet moment just after sunset when the city switches on.
