Five small fishing boats sit tilted on the wet sand and seaweed flats in the foreground, their hulls in white, red, teal and navy. Pale yellow sand bars run across the middle of the scene, and thick, textured strokes of ochre, green and blue mark the weed-covered shallows around them.
Beyond the flats, calm pale blue water holds moored yachts with tall white masts and a yellow dinghy. On the right, a row of white cottages sits below dark, jagged hills, and a low wooded island lies to the left. A band of deep blue sky with streaks of violet fills the top third. The work is a bold, colourful acrylic-style painting.
