About Sapphire Feather
A single feather stands almost upright on a pale dove-grey ground, filling the tall narrow canvas from top to bottom. The upper vane is painted in dense black with a clean curved edge, while the lower half breaks apart into a fine quill line with wispy black barbs flicking out to the right. Chips of sapphire blue, cyan and opaque white sit scattered across the shaft like flecks of enamel, brightest near the middle and again at the base of the vane.
Thin grey washes run downward behind the feather, part shadow and part deliberate drip, softening the hard black shape. A small dark signature sits near the lower right. The character is graphic and quiet: one clear silhouette, a few sharp colour accents, and a lot of empty grey space around it.
Suits a narrow wall where a wide picture will not fit: beside a doorway, in an entry hall, at the end of a corridor, or between bedroom windows. The pale grey ground sits well with white or light timber walls, linen bedding and chrome or black metal fittings. Pairs with a second slim panel for a matched set.
