About Ember Feather
A single feather stands almost upright on a plain pale blue-grey ground, filling the tall narrow canvas. The shaft is drawn as one long black curve that tapers to a fine point at the base. The upper vane is painted in solid black with clean white gaps, while the lower barbs break apart into thin grey strands that flick outward to the right. Blocks of orange, red and yellow run in a broken line down the centre of the vane and cluster again near the bottom left.
Colour is applied flat and confidently, with hard edges rather than blended shading, and a soft grey shadow falls to the lower right to lift the feather off the background. A small painted signature sits in the lower left corner. The effect is graphic and quiet, with the warm flecks giving the otherwise monochrome feather a spark of heat.
The tall narrow shape suits a hallway wall, the space beside a doorway, a stairwell, or a gap between two windows. It works in pale rooms with white or grey walls, pairs with light timber and black metal frames, and sits well above a slim console table or beside a bed as a single vertical accent.
