A red-haired mermaid rises from dark blue water and stretches both arms straight up, holding a bottle with a red star on its label. Her eyes are closed and she is smiling. Her long hair streams out sideways in sharp red ribbons, and her green-gold tail curls below her, with ripples spreading around it.
Yellow capitals fill the top and bottom: "ROYAT" in large letters, "AUVERGNE" in red-underlined smaller type, then "PAR SES BAINS CARBO-GAZEUX UNIQUES AU MONDE". At the foot it reads "GUÉRIT" and "CŒUR, GOUTTE, ARTÉRIO-SCLÉROSE". The water is drawn in black and blue wavy bands, with a rocky cliff and a pale building behind. The flat colour and bold lettering give it an early twentieth century French advertising feel.
