An abstract flower fills a square, dark background, its petals fanning out from a small black bud at the centre. The petals are rendered in deep plum, magenta, dove grey and silver, with hard edges that look like folded metal or torn paper. Fine white lines streak outward from the centre like sparks.
Light catches the upper petals, where pale pink and white flecks break through a crackled, scratchy texture. Scattered white splatters drift across the surrounding blackish purple, and a few touches of copper and gold sit low in the lower left. A soft grey-mauve glow sits beneath the bloom. The look is a textured, expressive abstract painting.
