A black and white photograph taken at low tide. A large, dark boulder sits right of centre, its rough surface and mirrored reflection sitting in a shallow pool of still water. A smaller rock sits further back on the wet sand, and a cluster of three rounded stones fills the lower left corner.
A small, pale sun sits just above the horizon, leaving a short bright reflection on the flat water. Hazy sea stacks fade into the fog on both sides of the sun, and the sky shifts from light grey to near white. Curving ribbons of sand and gentle ripples lead the eye across the scene in soft, even tones.
