Six wooden rowing boats sit in a line along the front of the picture, their hulls pulled up on a warm, pebbly beach. The boats are white, with bands of red, teal and blue along the sides, and coiled ropes hang from their bows. The long diagonal of the row leads the eye from the left corner towards the buildings on the right.
Beyond the boats, calm blue water holds a few sailing yachts and two small passenger launches. A town of white and terracotta-roofed buildings curls around the bay and climbs the green hillside, with a church tower near the centre. A tall cream building with balconies fills the right edge. Soft white clouds drift over the mountain in a bright blue sky. The image is a realistic painted-style scene in warm, sunlit tones.
