About Neon Dreaming I
A square abstract built from layers of translucent ink. A pale cream shape sits near the centre, shaped like a soft irregular oval, and everything else washes around it in cobalt, sky blue and violet. Fine black lines arc across the middle like bent wire or stems, one sweeping in from the left edge and crossing a second darker ribbon that drifts to the right. Purple bleeds through the lower half, and small flecks of white sit in the blue like scattered droplets.
The effect is fluid and weightless, closer to ink dropped in water than to anything solid, with the black lines giving the wash a clear direction to follow.
The square format suits a bedroom above a bedhead, a bathroom wall, or a dining room where the blue can pick up glassware and ceramics. It works against white or pale grey walls, with oak or black timber furniture, linen bedding and chrome or brushed nickel fittings. Strong enough to hang on its own.
