About Open Spaces 8
A single pyramid-shaped mountain sits slightly right of centre, its slopes rendered in silver-grey with pale, scraped-looking snow along the ridge and summit. A lower grey peak overlaps it on the left, and a darker shoulder runs off the right edge. Above them the sky is flat cream and pale yellow, broken by soft white cloud smudges near the top. Below the range, bands of olive, moss and bright yellow-green mark flat grassland, with patches of rust and mauve pushing through.
The foreground drops into broader shapes: a wedge of soft yellow, a rust-brown slope at lower left and dark green marks at the lower right corner. Layers are built from broad flat blocks with dry, streaky edges where one colour drags over another, and the canvas texture reads clearly through the thinner areas. The overall character is calm and open, a quiet alpine valley reduced to simple colour shapes rather than detail.
Suits a living room above a low sideboard, a dining wall with timber furniture, or a home office where a calm outlook helps. The olive and ochre sit well with linen upholstery, rattan, brass lamps and pale oak floors. Pairs neatly with another landscape print of the same series on a wide wall.
