A tree reduced to slabs and strokes of thick, textured paint fills the upright frame. Grey-brown branches reach out at angles from a dark trunk at the bottom centre, and short flicks of deep blue and a small patch of teal green sit among them.
The background is mostly creamy white, built from broad knife marks that leave visible ridges. Pale blue, sage, ochre and a peachy pink appear in small blocks, so the leaves and sky blur together. The look is loose, layered and soft in tone, with no hard outline anywhere.
