A square central scene shows three palm trees leaning together over a sandy beach. Their fronds are olive green and brown, and the trunks curve to the right. Behind them, calm pale blue water meets a hazy sky, and a low headland covered in dark green bush sits on the right. Small tufts of beach grass frame the bottom corners.
Around the scene runs a patchwork of rectangular panels in weathered tan, sand, dusty blue and grey. The surfaces look distressed and textured, and several carry raised white ornaments such as scrolls, fern shapes and damask flourishes. The soft, muted palette keeps the green palms as the clear focal point. The look is a textured painted style rather than a photograph.
