A large peach and coral peony fills the upper left, its ruffled petals edged in pink and a small yellow centre showing at the heart. A green stem curves in an S-shape down to the bottom edge. The petals have a soft, slightly scratched surface, as if layered with aged paper.
A second, paler peony sits on the right edge, cropped by the frame and washed in cream and apricot. Behind both, the background moves from dusty blue at the top to warm brown timber grain below. Faint lines of cursive handwriting run across the whole image, a digital photographic composite with a worn, textured finish.
