A large magenta and plum flower fills the left half of this square watercolour, its overlapping petals washed in layers so the darker violet shows through the paler pink. A dark, inky centre with fine black stamens sits at the middle. Soft blue-grey shadows tuck behind the upper petals.
In the lower right corner a teal and sky blue bloom is cropped by the edge, with a few dark stamens near its base. Grey, charcoal and one blue leaf drift around both flowers on a warm cream background, with pooled pigment and soft bleeding edges visible throughout.
