Three large poppies sit on the right of a square, cream-coloured carte postale. A lilac-purple bloom with a dark centre fills the top corner, a deep magenta poppy sits in the middle, and a lime-yellow one with a black centre is cropped at the bottom edge. Thin green stems run down beside them.
The postcard is printed in soft sepia and grey. "Carte Postale" appears in serif capitals across the top, with "Correspondance" and "Adresse" in small type and a grey postmark reading "CHAT". Faded handwriting, dates and numbers like "3089.95" cover the page, behind a pale botanical sketch of a poppy, leaves and seed pod on the left.
