Red poppies with white and gold centres fill the bottom third of the image, set among yellow-green stems, white daisy-like blooms and small dark dots. The flowers are drawn as round rings with visible brush texture, and thin green stalks run up between them in a loose, busy pattern.
Above the flowers, rolling hills are cut into flat patches of yellow, orange, pink, mint, teal and deep green, each edged with a rough black line. Fence lines trace across the slopes. A streaky blue sky sits along the top. It is a bold, flat-colour acrylic-style painting with a naive, folk feel.
