A square, flat-colour composition in a naive, decorative style. The lower two thirds is a dense meadow of pink, red and orange ground, crowded with spiky red seed-head flowers outlined in black, plus small rings and dotted circles in lilac, purple, white and gold. Thin green stems run up through the field.
Above the flowers a band of blue-green water curves in from the left, edged with a beaded line of blue and purple dots. A strip of pale sand and a flat black headland sit behind it. The sky is bright turquoise with streaky white brushwork. The surface looks like acrylic on a textured ground, with metallic gold dots scattered through the flowers.
