A wide horizontal seascape split into three calm bands. The top half is a layered sky of pale blue, silver grey and streaks of white, with a dry, scratchy texture that looks like scraped paint over a washed ground. The horizon sits low and is drawn as a clean, straight line.
Below the horizon, a strip of deep ultramarine and teal water runs across the canvas. One white wave curls in from the left and fades into turquoise shallows, then onto a wide pale sand foreground in cream and soft grey. The mix of muted tones and one strong blue band keeps the scene quiet.
