A German shepherd faces the viewer straight on, head filling most of the portrait frame. Its tall ears, broad muzzle and open mouth with a pink tongue are outlined in thick black. The nose is a deep navy blue, and warm brown eyes give the face a friendly, attentive look.
The fur is broken into patches of rainbow colour: yellow, orange, red, green, purple and blue, covered in dots, stripes, swirls and small starbursts. The background is a washy sky blue with drips and ink splatters. Hand-lettered text above the head reads "Dogs Never Lie About Love", with small blue stars scattered around it.
