A tall red and russet rooster walks left to right across a square canvas, one foot raised mid-step. Its comb and wattle are deep crimson, the neck feathers streak from red to orange, and the long tail fans out in teal and powder blue with dark banding. Pale grey legs and a small yellow beak finish the figure.
The background is a worn wash of burnt orange, gold and rust, layered with faint handwriting and small dark floral patches. Cursive lettering reads "Coq Rouge de Cap" at the top and "La Ville de Normandie" along the bottom. A column of navy scrolling leaves runs down the right edge against a blue-grey panel. The look is a digital illustration with a distressed, aged texture.
